Peter Andrew MacDonald, is an East Coast musician writer. Pete, has had the pleasure of taking part in two Canadian Tours, one European exchange, and countless performances throughout North America. He holds a B.P.S. in Music Production from Berklee College of Music and is co-writer of the 4 out of 5 star hit, “Trummp The Musical.” He is a 2020 ECMA juror, and received three nominations for the 2020 MusicNL awards; Best Pop Artist of the Year, Best Songwriter of the Year, Best Entertainer of the Year. On July 1st, 2020 Pete released his first single, “I Don’t Know (Love Again),” and has continued to be an active part of the Canadian music scene since.
During his 2007 grade 5 residency, Peter Andrew MacDonald rocked out in his first band, “The Nerdz.” In the years since, East Coast musician/producer/writer, Pete, has had the pleasure of taking part in two Canadian Tours, one European exchange, and countless performances throughout North America. Co-writer of the 4/5 star hit, “Trummp The Musical,” and orchestrator of “How Do You Get To Jelly Bean Row,” Pete’s community theatre roots have made his way into his professional career.
Pete graduated from Berklee College of Music, B.P.S. Music Production, Summa Cum Laude, Top Honours. Over the years, he has studied voice [Ronalda Hutton, Evan Smith, Ryan Dillion], piano [Dr. Valerie Long, Jane Steel, Jennifer Vail], and guitar [Anne Devine, Reece Smith, Dr. Sylvie Proux]. He has also trained with industry names such as Judy Stakee, Mitch Benoff, and AVID. Pete has worked professionally within the music industry for the past 6 years, in both performance and production, and is taking part in the musical community locally and internationally.
Presently, Pete plays keyboards in the pop group “With Violet” and subs in regularly with folk duo “Quote the Raven.” He is a 2020 ECMA Juror, and has been nominated for three 2020 music NL awards; Pop Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year. On July 1st, 2020, Pete released his first single, “I Don’t Know (Love Again),” and has continued to be an active part of the Canadian music scene since. His solo project, a “Pop Music Study,” features 14 original singles, inspired by “pop” genres throughout the years, and is still releasing bi-weekly to streaming services around the globe.
